End of Term 1
Term 1 has ended.
In Reading/Language Arts we have:
In Reading/Language Arts we have:
- Read about baseball, island survival, river rescue, and the railroad, among other things.
- Spelled with short vowels, long vowels, contractions, and plurals.
- Worked on writing paragraphs using a "Four Square" organizer.
- Used UtahWrite.com to assess our writing.
In Math we have studied:
- Place value from the billions to the thousandths
- Adding and subtracting whole numbers and decimals
- Multiplication with multi-digit numbers
- Long division
In Science we have been learning about the Scientific Method (or process) and prepared to start working on our Science Fair projects.
We are also learning about the American Revolution.
You can log on to SuccessNet from home to look at our reading and math books.
Students can log on to UtahWrite from home as well. There are tutorials online on a huge variety of writing topics.
